ASNITE stands for Accreditation System of National Institute of Technology and Evaluation and is newly established accreditation program by IAJapan.

In Japan, there is a growing need for laboratory accreditation systems
other than JCSS and JNLA as follows:
Conformity assessment of the National Metrology Institute (NMI) to international standards (ISO/IEC 17025 and/or ISO Guide 34), and accreditation of IT security laboratory/evaluation facility, etc.
In industrial sectors, flexible accreditation according to various test
method standards (when JNLA is not applicable), accreditation of calibration
using a standard traceable to overseas measurement standards (when JCSS
is not applicable).
ASNITE (Accreditation System of National Institute of Technology and Evaluation) is the comprehensive accreditation system operated by National Institute of Technology and Evaluation (NITE) according to the international standards and requirements. Its aim is to complement the fields where the private sectors cannot cover sufficiently because;
high profitability cannot be expected due to insufficient number of relevant laboratories,
many small/medium enterprises are affected and politic measures should be taken, or
mutual technical assessment between private sectors is difficult in advanced technology.
