Mar. 23, 2011
@On
March 11, the Tohoku and North Kanto Region in Japan was hit by the 2011
Tohoku-Pacific Ocean Earthquake, the largest earthquake in the history of
Japan.
@We,
IAJapan, would like to offer our deepest condolences to the persons affected by
this catastrophe. We
believe and pray fervently that the people and enterprises in the stricken
region will be able to return to their normal lives and activities as soon as
the region is able to recover.
@We
have received so many kindest messages and encouragement from our friends in
foreign countries, and we are most grateful for all the warmest offer and
support that we have been shown.
@Fortunately,
IAJapan does not have any damages and the injured among our staff but our
parent organization NITE temporarily closes a domestic office in Sendai which is
located in the stricken region. Please understand that under this circumstance,
some work will be temporarily delayed and some of our accredited laboratories
in the stricken region may temporarily close their business because of the
disaster; however, IAJapan can continue to conduct all necessary business as
usual and will support the laboratories as much as we can. We apologize in
advance for any inconvenience these circumstances may cause.
